Project Overview
UHS Women’s and Children’s Tower is a new fourteen-story, 690,000-square-foot expansion in San Antonio, Texas. This addition will help University Health better serve the unique needs of women, babies, and children while providing a supportive, compassionate, and welcoming environment for patients and their families. The new tower will house 300 new patient beds including labor and delivery, ICU, NICU, and a Children’s Emergency Department. In addition to its size, the finish level of this project is very high, with linear lighting being the key to accentuate the different architectural product finishes on each floor. From a prefabrication standpoint, the project will end up with 12 prefab electric rooms, 30+ prefab electric closets, and more than 1000 prefab racks. We look forward to successfully opening the building for our client in the Fall of 2023
