Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida

Project Overview

Golisano Children’s Hospital broke ground in March 2014, was completed in April 2017 and opened for patient care on May 1, 2017. Golisano’s Children’s hospital is located in the HealthPark Medical Center Campus in Ft Myers, FL and is the only children’s hospital between Tampa and Miami. Golisano’s 128 beds, seven-story building aimed to make kids feel as if they’re in a fun, safe space, instead of a hospital. The hospital accomplished this with bright colors, lights, activities, and interactive stations for the children.

The new $200 million hospital includes all private patient rooms and has a 17-bay emergency department, freestanding pediatric pharmacy, and an in-hospital school classroom. In addition, the hospital can expand to 160 beds and 36 pediatric acute care beds.
